Recommendations for users
This website works best with a screen resolution of
640 x 360 pixels or more and Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Google's Chrome browser, or Apple's Safari browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser and the Opera browser handle most pages properly however on some pages, bulleted items appear double-spaced. We are working to correct that. To see the latest statistics on the popularity of various browsers, click here.
Since many of the pages and downloadable files are large, a high-speed internet connection is strongly recommended.
Articles and newspaper pages
OCN started publication in the year 2001. Volume 1 was published in 2001, Volume 2 was published in 2002, and so forth. There is one web page on this website for each of the published newspapers. That page contains the articles from that issue. The web addresses for those web pages take the form "vYnM.htm" where Y is the volume number, which is number of the year minus 2000, and M is the issue number, which is the number of the month. For example, the web address for the web page containing all the articles from the
December 6, 2014 issue is www.ocn.me/v14n12.htm.
An Adobe Acrobat PDF version of each of the newspapers is stored in a file
with a name of the form "vYnM.pdf" where Y is the volume
number, which is number of the year minus 2000, and M is the issue
number, which is the number of the month. For example, the name of the PDF file
containing all the pages from the January 8, 2011 issue is "v11n1.pdf."
Each page from the printed papers is also stored in a separate Adobe Acrobat PDF file with
a name of the form "vYnMP.pdf" where Y is
the volume number, which is number of the year minus 2000, and M is the issue number,
which is the number of the month, and P is the page number.
Note that there is one space between the issue number M and the page number P.
For example, the name of the PDF file containing page 5 from the January 2, 2021 issue is "v21n1 2.pdf".
